Garrott spent years building rural businesses and the technology to support them. As co-founder and COO of AcreTrader and Acres, he scaled rural land technology platforms serving everyone from family farmers to Fortune 500 companies. Before that, he worked on a vertically integrated farming operation. Across all of it, he saw the same logistics headaches: paper routes, phone tag, zero visibility. He started Aerton to build what rural operations actually needed.

Co-Founder & CTO
Richard spent his career building logistics technology at scale. As co-founder of FreightWise, he built a cloud-based TMS that optimized supply chains for major distributors in oil and gas, heavy equipment, and restaurant supplies—growing 733% from 2019 to 2021. He architected systems that saved enterprises millions in transportation costs. But he saw a gap: the best logistics technology rarely made it to rural operations. Different challenges—sparse geography, missing addresses, seasonal complexity—required purpose-built solutions. He co-founded Aerton to bring world-class logistics tech to the businesses that need it most.
